How to migrate your data to Sage with Accountancy Software
A rebuild of a new dataset is required when we migrate to Sage.
This is a manual process which requires us to import data from datasets. With this option, you have the opportunity to cleanse the data within your file, removing any old or unused customers and suppliers.
We recommend this option is done at the end of the client’s financial year. This way we can take the closing trial balance and use this as the opening balance for the new financial package.
A rebuild of a new dataset is also recommended in the following scenarios
- If migration is unavailable within option one
- Slow performance when using your accounts package
- Data corruption or issues within your accounts package
What is included?
- Set up your chart of accounts (COA) which replicates your accountant’s set-up.
- Import all your customer & supplier details from your old accounts software including name, address, phone and email to their opening balance.
- Set up class tracking so that we can produce a profit & loss by class or department.
