Seamus Gill Jewellery contacted Accountancy Software early in 2024 regarding their system QuickBooks Dekstop, which went end-of-life in 2023. After an initial assessment, Accountancy Software recommended a migration of their financial data and training with one of the team accountants.

Q: What version of QuickBooks Desktop were you on and why did you decide to move to QuickBooks Online?

A: We were using QB desktop version 2015. It worked fine but it was no longer supported.  Also, our accountants no longer had access to QB Desktop so our year-end was a problem.

Q: How has QuickBooks Online improved your financial management or reporting compared to the desktop version?

A: Like with anything new it took a while to get used to the online reporting. But once we were up and running it was easy to manage and is now saving us a lot of time and manual data entry.

Q: Did the training help you feel confident in using the new system effectively?

A: Yes the training with Derek was brilliant and money well spent. We had our questions ready and he explained all our queries very clearly and in a way it was easy to take on board. And yes would definitely consider training in the future if it was required for new staff.

Q: Would you recommend our services to other businesses looking to migrate their financial data or switch to QuickBooks Online?

A: We would absolutely recommend Accountancy Software Ireland for Quickbooks Online if any business was thinking of migrating. From the first phone call with the initial inquiry about migrating to QB Online the whole process was seamless. Thea was extremely helpful in every way. What definitely stood out was the great customer service throughout the whole process.
