Option One - Migration of Data
Moving from your current dataset moves all top-line data, sales, customers, suppliers, period transactions, bank, reconciliations etc. to QuickBooks Online. This can include historical data. This migration option is only compatible with the packages listed below. Provided the below requirements are met this moving data to QuickBooks Online can be actioned at any point during the financial year.
Sage 50 to QuickBooks Online
TasBooks to QuickBooks Online
Xero to QuickBooks Online
QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online
Option Two - Rebuild of Data
A rebuild of a new dataset is a manual process which requires us to import data from datasets. This QuickBooks migration option can be actioned with ANY accounts package. This option gives clients the opportunity to cleanse the data within your file, removing any old or unused customers and suppliers.
We recommend this option is done at the end of the client’s financial year. This way we can take the closing trial balance and use this as the opening balance for the new financial package.
A rebuild of a new dataset is recommended in the following scenarios
- If migration is unavailable within option one
- Slow performance when using your accounts package
- Data corruption or issues within your accounts package
What is included?
Set up your chart of accounts (COA) which replicates your accountant’s set-up.
Import all your customer & supplier details from your old accounts software including name, address, phone and email to their opening balance.
Set up class tracking so that we can produce a profit & loss by class or department.
Quotes are based on a review of the data provided in your previous package.
