QuickBooks Desktop has now gone end-of-life!

QUICKBOOKS DESKTOP HAS NOW GONE END-OF-LIFE!

QuickBooks Online Migration

QuickBooks Online migration, why should you do it?

QuickBooks Desktop is coming end-of-life June 30th, 2020

QuickBooks Desktop end-of-life means two things: If you have purchased QuickBooks Desktop before 2018, you are referred to as an ‘outright customer’. Your product will still work. HOWEVER, you will not receive any support or compliance updates anymore. Why should you worry about this? If run into issues accessing your data in the future, there will be no support. You may even run into moving to QuickBooks Online in the future.

If you are on a subscription-based QuickBooks Desktop version purchased after 2018 your product will be sunset entirely. This means that you will not have access to your system after June 30th, 2023!

We recommend moving to QuickBooks Online as soon as possible.

Moving to QuickBooks Online, a cloud-based accounting software does not have to be complicated. Our team at Accountancy Software will make this process as simple as possible for you.

Moving to QuickBooks Online

The process starts with a simple analysis. We send you an Enquiry Form to fill out. Based on this form, we will recommend the best migration plan for your business. This will also help us understand which QuickBooks Online subscription you need. You can read more about the different Online subscriptions here.

Setting you up with Accountancy Software is just as quick. Once we have agreed on a migration plan and a subscription plan, all you have to do is send us a backup of your data.

The migration process from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online takes several business days. We will let you know how long when we had a look at your backup. Any transactions you have during that time need to be entered manually after.

While QuickBooks Online operates very similar to QuickBooks Desktop, there are some changes to the system. For example, “memorized transactions” are now called “recurring invoices”. To help you navigate these changes, we offer different training options

If you want to familiarize yourself with QuickBooks Online, we have some training videos here

That’s it!
