Accountancy Software offer two migrations to choose from when switching from your previous Accounts Package.
Rebuilds & Migrations
Option 1:
Migrations from your current dataset bringing all top-line data, Sales, Customers, Suppliers, Period transactions, Bank, Reconciliations etc. including transactional history. This can only work with migrating from the packages below. This once you have one of the packages below can be done at any point during a financial year.
Rebuild of a new dataset from ANY accounts package. This is a manual process and requires us to import data from datasets.
The reasons for a rebuild can include but are not limited to.
Slow performance when using your accounts package. Reports that are taking a long time to load, Data corruption or issues within your accounts package. It also gives you the chance to Archive old or large datasets. This can also be a good time to clean up the data within your file. Remove any old or no longer needed customers/Suppliers along with items and services that you no longer provide.
We recommend this is done at a client’s financial year-end. We can take your closing trial balance and use this as the opening balance for your new financial package.
Set up your Chart of Accounts to replicate your Accountants set up.
Import all your Customer/Supplier details from your old accounts software including name, address, phone and email to their opening balance
Set up class tracking so that we can produce a profit & loss by class or department.
Quotes are based on a review of the data provided from your previous package.
Below is a list of package migrations that we have migrated manually from, however, we can work with all accounting packages once you can give us the required datasets. In some instances, this is a more prudent way of migrating your data as it can give you the ability to have fresh clean and solid data, from historic errors.
Note for Irish Users:
If you choose to purchase QuickBooks Online from Intuit’s website you will be offered the Global QuickBooks Online Edition. We have our reservations as to how the global product can handle Irish VAT.
The UK edition also has its limitations for Irish customers. You will need to manually set up a zero vat code rate to handle Intra-EU 0% transactions.
Note that existing QuickBooks Desktop Customers cannot export to the global edition of QBO at all. If you export to the UK edition, EU VAT codes will not work.
Packages include:
Sage 50, Sage 50C, QuickBooks Desktop pro or Premier, Xero, Surf, Tasbooks, Excel, MYOB, Big Red Book, Pegasus, Opera and sort my books.
